Time to Kill Facebook

The Google + Project

We all use Gmail to send and receive emails; in the old days (not that long ago) we used to use Yahoo mail until the advent of Gmail. Today, anyone with an online profile is using Facebook. Facebook like Yahoo Mail dominate the social network sphere of the Internet. And it does not have any formidable competitors -- that could change in matter of months.

When Gmail was released it had better offerings: 1 gigabyte of storage, a search engine to search all your emails, and a much cleaner, less adsey interface, no other email provider at the time offered so much.

In that same way Google has created Google Plus which is a Facebook killer. Why? It embodies all the ideas, plans, and strategies that Gmail at the start used to decimate Yahoo mail: invite only for now, better design, more efficient to use, has more privacy (most users have been yearning for it). Google + like Gmail has a better interface and design and no ads compared to FB. Check this video and see what I mean.

If the past is any indication Google Plus will overtake Facebook.

How do I listen to the BayW Radio?

I use the VLC player and it works amazingly. Here is a video so you can do what I do. It is by far the best way to listen to the radio only second to clicking the link on the corner and having it automatically play. Here is how, watch the video.

The BayW radio plays everything -- seriously -- we play everything even tracks from 1920s as well as playing the latest songs from the greatest artists it has something for everyone. Give it a shot.

If you don't fall in love with the radio you have no heart.

The Chromebook

Operating System by Google

Google has finally released its Chrome operating system. What is it? It's just a browser. It allows you to access everything you want via the Internet; everything you want or need is on the internet so why do you need extra applications like Microsoft or Apple OS which always come bundled with myriad of applications.

Some reviews from major tech sources: ZDNet declares "Apple [will] suffers as a result," -- the new Google OS will drive users away from the Mac OS and into the arms of Google. OS X already has had the lowest market share in the operating systems market if Google manages to gobble up the small amount of shares Mac owns it could mean bad business for Steve. PC World gave a more pessimistic review by saying: "Chromebooks Are Doomed to Fail," that's just the title of their article.

Chromebook uses cloud technology which stores everything in the cloud, online, making it possible for a user to access all his data from anywhere in the world so long as he has a internet connection.

Chrome OS is not dazzling or fruity like a Mac but it is definitely something new, something new that can potentially dominate the cloud computing market. And who knows maybe that is Google's goal after all.

Where do you go to buy one of these Chromebooks that have "nothing but the web"? Amazon is selling them; take your pick: Samsung or Acer.

Final words: it looks great, sleek, clean, and boots very very fast. Buy it give it a shot and write a review as a reply.

Windows 8 BayW First Look

Microsoft's New Operating System Unveiled!

Microsoft has changed Windows completely. First it got rid of the start text on the corner, an essential feature on Windows 2000 and the wildly successful Windows XP. In Windows Vista the start text was turned into a crisp light up icon (same on Win7). In windows 8, it's gone!

Microsoft has decided to ride the social networking trend. A trend that is on decline and will soon die out. Unfortunately it may be a double burial.
